Privacy, Without Vague Promises
This page explains the main data categories involved in using StrangerChat TV. The linked full platform policy and the notices shown in the product provide additional operational detail.
Information the service may process
- Account and profile information: identifiers, sign-in details, profile fields, preferences, and account state needed to provide the service.
- Device and usage information: browser or device data, logs, approximate technical diagnostics, feature interactions, and channel attribution used for security, operation, and measurement.
- User content and communications: profile media, messages, and interaction metadata processed to provide the relevant features. Camera and microphone access requires browser permission.
- Transaction information: orders, balances, product selections, and payment status. Payment credentials are handled according to the provider and checkout shown to you; do not send them through chat.
Video, audio, and what “private” means
One-on-one video chat is a product format, not a promise that no data is processed or that the other participant cannot retain what you share. Do not claim or assume end-to-end encryption. Avoid displaying sensitive information, bystanders, or content you do not want another person to capture.
Cookies, local storage, and analytics
The service uses browser storage for functions such as session state, preferences, age confirmation, and attribution. StrangerChat TV also loads Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity in production to understand page usage and improve the experience. These tools may process technical and interaction data according to their own terms and your applicable browser or consent settings.
Analytics events should not include passwords, message contents, payment credentials, or unnecessary sensitive information. Development traffic is not sent through the site’s production analytics configuration.
Why information is used
Information can be used to authenticate users, provide matching and communication features, maintain balances and orders, prevent abuse, respond to reports, diagnose failures, measure product performance, and meet applicable legal obligations. Specific uses depend on the feature you choose and the notices presented in the product.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by infrastructure, communication, payment, analytics, safety, and support providers where needed to operate the service. Other participants can see the profile or conversation information you choose to share with them. Do not treat another user as a safe destination for sensitive personal data.
Your choices
- Control camera and microphone access through browser and device settings.
- Review and edit available profile information through your account area.
- Use available blocking, reporting, and account controls.
- Use the Contact page for privacy questions or requests. Identity verification may be necessary before an account-specific request can be completed.
