SAFETY / RESPECT THE PERSON ON SCREEN
Stay Open. Stay Careful.
A good stranger conversation depends on two people feeling free to participate, decline, or leave. These practical rules apply before, during, and after a chat.
18+ only
StrangerChat TV is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. Do not use the service if you are under 18, and do not involve minors in a call, image, recording, or conversation. Report any account or behavior that appears to violate this rule.
Consent is part of every interaction
- Do not pressure another person to appear on camera, share explicit content, reveal identity, or continue a conversation.
- A person can decline or end a chat at any time. Respect that decision without following them to another route.
- Do not record, screenshot, publish, or redistribute another person’s image or conversation without authorization.
- Hate, threats, harassment, exploitation, and non-consensual sexual behavior are not acceptable.
Camera and microphone permissions
Your browser asks before allowing camera or microphone access. Grant permission only when you intend to use those features. Check which device is selected, look at the background before going on camera, and use your browser or operating system controls to revoke access later if desired.
Keep documents, screens, addresses, identification, and other people outside the camera view. Good lighting and a neutral background are safer and usually make the conversation clearer.
Protect personal and financial information
Never share passwords, verification codes, card credentials, banking information, home addresses, workplace details, or private documents. Do not send money or off-platform payments to someone you meet. Payment for platform features should only follow the official checkout flow and the conditions displayed there.
One-on-one chat is not a guarantee of anonymity or end-to-end encryption. Avoid sharing content you would not want another person to retain. Read the Privacy Policy for data practices.
Report or block inappropriate behavior
End the interaction first if you feel unsafe. Use the report option associated with the profile or conversation, or open the Report page. Existing blocking controls can be found through the account/profile area. Provide factual details needed for review, but do not submit unnecessary sensitive information.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger or a crime is occurring, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement service. A website report is not an emergency response channel.
Understand costs and free allowances
Public information pages are free to browse. Matching, messages, calls, or other features can have a free allowance, coin requirement, balance, or price. Review the actual display before confirming, and do not assume an interaction is unlimited or free because the first step did not show a charge.
Lower-pressure ways to begin
You can browse profiles before choosing a conversation, use a supported text option when you do not want to be on camera, or simply leave. The online list and random match offer different starting points, but neither is worth ignoring your comfort or judgment.
